BIOGRAPHY
Jaden Deon Sauls is a South African filmmaker, producer, and social media strategist working across independent film and digital media. Based between Johannesburg and Doha. He graduated cum laude from AFDA in Johannesburg with an honours degree in Motion Picture Medium (Producing), receiving awards for producing and character design and styling. His research focuses on digital strategies to improve the visibility of student films in South Africa.
Jaden’s career is rooted in a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling. With experience spanning producing, directing, writing, editing, and marketing, he brings a holistic perspective to every project – bridging the gap between creative vision and audience engagement. He serves as an intern at Resolution Films (Doha, Qatar) while also working as a social media manager. His previous roles include Social Media Manager at Reel To Reality and Production Manager and Line Producer on multiple student productions at AFDA, where he built a strong foundation in production logistics and team leadership.
His work includes the award-winning thriller Room 7, which earned Best Thriller at FICIMAD (2025), and the horror film Isithunzi, featured on SABC. He has also collaborated with Qatar Airways on a Ramadan campaign, expanding his work into branded storytelling on an international scale. Beyond narrative, he has directed fashion-forward projects such as Wear You, Do You, Be You, blending style with storytelling.
Beyond film, Jaden has built a growing digital presence, sharing his creative journey through his YouTube series Life in My 20s, alongside lifestyle and film-related content on TikTok and Instagram. His work often blends storytelling with fashion, personal documentation, and social media strategy, positioning him at the intersection of culture, content, and cinema.
Driven by a strong belief in consistency, ambition, and self-evolution, Jaden approaches his career with both creative intention and strategic clarity. His work is guided by a desire to tell compelling stories while also exploring new ways for independent filmmakers to connect with audiences in an increasingly digital world.

Right now, my mission is simple but ambitious: to create timeless work alongside other bold, visionary creatives. I’m here to push boundaries, craft stories that stay with you, and make every frame count. I’m open to collaborations, production opportunities, and creative partnerships across commercial work, cultural projects, and original formats currently in development.
